Jon Kortajarena stars one of the most provocative photoshoots of the year, shot by photographer Mikael Jansson for the Fall/Winter 2010 issue of Vogue Hommes International. A too much sexual way for advertising a watch? Maybe, but I love it!

  13. Hm, I'm not sure how I feel about this spread. Very artistic, but you're right: it's a little too revealing for a watch shoot, especially the last photo. Great post, though!

  44. Good thing I read it, otherwise I would have never known this was all about a watch. Which I hadn't even seen!! LOL

    He's yummy

  45. I detest this type of advertising!

People who enjoy looking at these images should honestly accept that they are enjoying it as porn, and if what they want is porn, they should buy and look at porn magazines. That would be being open-minded, not demonizing porn, but accepting for its own merits.

When I am looking at fashion or watches, I want to see the design of the item highlighted. The blatant, excessive sexuality of that "spread" suggest to me that the watch designer is not confident about his product. Any magazine editor who encourages this sort of content is more interested in selling magazines (which are pretending not to be porn) than helping designers show their talent.
