Gity Monsef, who curated the original My Favourite Dress exhibition at Zandra Rhodes Fashion and Textile Musuem, has just finished a book entitled ‘My Favourite Dress’ and it has just been listed as the top fashion book on Amazon UK. 150 of the world’s most influential designers and celebrities each chose and explained the very personal reasoning behind their own favourite dress. The imagery and layouts are amazing! Best of all, a percentage of the proceeds are going to Save the Children so makes for an amazing Christmas gift.
Designers and celebrities featured include Manolo Blahnik, Tom Ford, Dolce & Gabbana, John Galliano, Jean-Paul Gaultier, Betty Jackson, Calvin Klein, Christian Lacroix, Ralph Lauren, Alexander McQueen, Oscar de la Renta, Paul Smith, Anna Sui, Valentino, Vivienne Westwood, and many, many more. Suzie Menkes and Alexandra Shulman wrote the introductions.
I have also introduced my favourite dress (or dresses) and the reason why, seen that I have a very good taste (who cares about modesty!) and I bet you loved it.
