Barbara Hulanicki creates for TopShop

BIBA was one of the most famous women's fashion stores of the 1960's and 1970's. Founded in London in 1964 by Barbara Hulanicki and her husband Stephen Fitz-Simon, it became famous worldwide by creating and selling their own collections with quality at affordable prices, and served as a center of fashion adviser, popularizing the mini skirt and clothes lines and colorful graphics and innovative psychedelics, much like the youth of the Swinging London of the 60's. Biba became the mecca of modern London, and place of pilgrimage for musicians such as The Rolling Stones, Twiggy, models and actresses such as Julie Christie, who could find, in addition to clothing, furniture, food and beauty products. With an Art Deco environment, Biba was considered "the most beautiful store in the world."

After several years without drawing clothes, Barbara Hulanicki, founder of the mythical store, returned to the fashion world and creates a mini collection for Topshop. The collaboration came about when an exhibition of illustrations of Hulanicki, one of the representatives of the British fashion chain, it proposed making a collection that "didn't look like Biba. The designer has taken the challenge with enthusiasm and the result of this collaboration is available from today on the Topshop website - http://topshop.com .

Writer Paulo Coelho to collaborate with Mango

The recognized Brazilian writer Paulo Coelho joined Mango to create 6 t-shirts for women, illustrated with sentences of his own. Under the name Mango & Paulo Coelho, this mini-collection is available in 450 stores in 68 countries and Mango aims to raise funds for the charitable organization that has the name of the writer and assist the most disadvantaged members of Brazilian society: children and elderly.

Currently, Paulo Coelho is one of the most influential contemporary writers. With more than 100 million copies sold in 160 countries, he's the most translated living writer of our times (his works were translated from Portuguese to other 66 languages).

The Instituição Paulo Coelho (The Paulo Coelho Institution), a nonprofit institution whose funding comes exclusively from the copyrights of the writer, was founded in 1996 with the aim "to do something for humanity," explained the writer during the presentation of t-shirts in Madrid . "I knew it was impossible to change my country, Brazil. It was impossible to change my state, it was impossible to change my neighborhood, but could change my street, at the end of which there is a favela (the complex formed by the hills and Cantagalo peacock-Pavãozinho, between Ipanema and Copacabana), "he added.

Viktor & Rolf to design a wardrobe for Opera

The dutch designers Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren, better known as Viktor & Rolf, were licensed in 1992 by the School of Arts in Arnhem. Its amazing creations brought fashion a new look and a new state of mind. For them, the fashion world is not about the clothing, but images and ideas.

Combining technical sophistication and elegance, Viktor & Rolf are a reference of contemporary fashion and they express their art through various artistic projects. So not surprisingly, they are involved now with the design of clothing for the Opera, specifically the wardrobe of the new romantic opera by Robert Wilson, "The Freeshooter" which debut at the Baden-Baden Opera House, Germany, next May 30.

Still missing a few days for the result of the collaboration to be revealed, a few images already disclosed show strong color and a huge amount of drama.

Luxury Fashion in the Middle East

The Middle East is considered one of the best consumer markets for luxury goods in the world. Business are thriving, so big fashion companies are including the Middle East countries in their plans for expansion.

The luxurious
Villa Moda Lifestyle multibrand store - founded by Sheikh Majed Al-Sabah, one of the greatest drivers of fashion in the Middle East - is a great example and it has shown excellent results in all countries where it is present: Dubai in Saudi Arabia, Damascus in Syria, Doha in Qatar, three areas in Kuwait and now in Bahrain, the small Persian Gulf state.

In Villa Moda Lifestyle stores it is on sale only the major luxury brands such as Gucci, Hermès, Louis Vuitton and Fendi. Bahrain was chosen for the construction of the new store, for being one of the "pearls" of the Persian Gulf and a country open to tourism.

The interior design of the new Villa Moda stores is made by Dutch designer Marcel Wanders.

Exhibition: "Watercolors" by Raoul De Keyser at the Fundação de Serralves (Serralves Foundation)

Raoul De Keyser is a Belgian artist who has created a work highly regarded and quite independent of the movements and approaches of the season, although his work has always maintained contact with the most significant events in the painting of the post-war, particularly in the field of abstraction. After having made a fairly comprehensive exhibition of paintings by Raoul De Keyser in 2005, the Serralves Foundation (Fundação de Serralves) now displays a set of 60 recent watercolors. These works, small format and high sensitivity, are virtually unknown to the knowledge of the work of De Keyser therefore never been exposed.

Imagine yourself with 80 years old. Who do you think will be next to you then?
If you could go back and change a decision, what would it be?

Some people say:
"I never would have divorced the only man I ever loved."
"I had failed to be honest ... This crank of being honest..."
"I will be alone!"

What about you? Do you think you have the answer for any of these questions?

Go visit INumInstanteTudoMuda.com (in portuguese) and think about it.

Go visit Prada Transformer

Prada Transformer is not a museum or a store. It is a roaming and converted area, which may be both an art gallery as a theater or a catwalk. Designed by Rem Koolhaas, it is undoubtedly one of the most daring and ambitious projects from Prada

Designed to host several cultural events, Prada Transformer is currently located next to the Gyeonghui Palace in Seoul, South Korea. It has a tetrahedral structure, composed by four different ways - a hexagon, a cross, a rectangle and a circle - and was designed so that the floors can be transformed into walls and ceilings in the walls. The four alternate plans may be turning the structure with a crane, and each is designed so that the space has a specific function. Depending on the side which is at the top, the building becomes a cinema, an art gallery or a room in parades. The structure is steel made and covered with a white elastic membrane, created by Cocoon Holland BV.
