"Lagerfeld Confidential" DVD launch at MUDE

"Lagerfeld Confidential," the documentary about the famous fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld filmed by Rodolphe Marconi, will be released on DVD next October 2 at MUDE (Museum of Design and Fashion), in Lisbon. The film will be presented by Barbara Cunningham, head of MUDE, Francisco Capelo, who will speak about Karl Lagerfeld's side as a collector, and Eduarda Abbondanza, head of Lisbon Fashion Week, who will present "Kaiser" as a fashion designer.

Fashion designer, photographer, painter, big lover of cinema, art expert, books collector and pieces of design, Karl Lagerfeld is a visionary and eclectic artist. But who really is this peculiar character, which is considered one of the most influential fashion designers of the twentieth century?

After three years and more than three hundred hours of footage, the filmmaker reveals the day-to-day of this star, whose childhood dream was "Read everything, get to know everything and understand everything", a dream fueled in Hamburg where he grew up and was born in 1938 and reinforced by the passion he felt for the French art of the eighteenth century, its history, architecture, music and literature.

Cinema: "Dorian Gray" hits town

Dorian Gray is Oliver Parker’s latest foray into Oscar Wilde and follows on from An Ideal Husband and The Importance of Being Ernest.

This film is an altogether darker offering however, dealing as it does with questions of morality and death. It stars Colin Firth (who also plays on Tom Ford's "A Single Man"), and Ben Barnes in the title role and has been well received by critics. I am really looking forward to go see this movie, it is really good.

Milan Fashion Week: Giorgio Armani - Just Cavalli - Moschino Cheap & Chic | Summer 2010

Giorgio Armani
Absolutely BME: Brilliant-Magnific-Elegant. My favorite designer Giorgio Armani has presented an exuberant Summer 2010 collection, the most elegant presentation of every designers and fashion weeks for Summer 2010 season. Colorful and youthful, this collection is full of blue, pink, and white. Giorgio Armani kept everything above the knee, and the sandals are very chic and minimalist. This is why I love Giorgio Armani so much, he keeps his own style, not following any trends. Watch the runway video below and enjoy the show.

Just Cavalli
Just Cavalli went grunge for Summer 2010. It is kind of weird to see Cavalli and grunge-Courtney Love on the same outfit, but it looks amazing. I think Roberto Cavalli has a unique style and grunge is in fashion more than ever, and a few designers have been exploring that subject very well, and Just Cavalli is one of them.

Moschino Cheap & Chic
If you are one of those who love the 60's and the 70's, Moschino Cheap & Chic is the right fashion brand for you. I love mainly these two dresses below and have a look to the sunglasses, how "sweet & chic". Watch the Moschino Cheap & Chic Spring 2010 runway show below.

Milan Fashion Week: Versace - Dolce & Gabbana - Dsquared² | Summer 2010

Versace
Versace is alive, and much alive! This is what we could see on its Summer 2010 runway show at Milan Fashion Week. A lot of (sexy) colors do complete the beautiful outfits presented by Donatella Versace. The runway show was amazing, very original and glam, as we are used to.
I define "Miss V" Versace's Summer 2010 collection for party-chic-fun-strong personality women.

Dolce & Gabbana
Dolce & Gabbana spread glamour and sensuality on the runway. Back to basics, Domenico Dolce and Steffano Gabbana presented a very sexy collection, mostly wearing black. We all know there is no color sexier than black, and they did it very well. For sure one of my favorite Summer 2010 collections at Milan Fashion Week.

Dsquared²
Dsquared² introduced us some kind of "new materials" on its oufits, like Chanel Iman wearing the orange dress below. It looks weird maybe, but it is very fun, as well as Anna Gushina walking with the bottle on her hands. That's why I love Dsquared runway shows, it is a sexy and fun party from the beggining to the end.

Milan Fashion Week: Prada - Blumarine - Gianfranco Ferré | Summer 2010

Prada
Miuccia Prada is one of the most desired fashion designers of our times, and she deserves it. Prada's runway show is once again the collection of the collections at Milan Fashion Week and maybe one of the biggest in the world. This dress and handbag below are my favorite items of the collection, I absolutely love it! Watch Prada's runway video below.

Blumarine
I absolutely adore Blumarine, it is one of the few who can pick a very common theme or subject and turn it into the most elegant dresses in the world. And that is what it happened on its Summer 2010 collection, in which you can wear from the typical Blumarine elegant dresses, to the Jamaican style.

Gianfranco Ferré
Ferré's Summer 2010 collection is very white but also with some typical-dark-gothic dresses by Gianfranco Ferré. A very elegant collection, but not the same as it used to be with Gianfranco Ferré himself.

Milan Fashion Week: Fendi - Iceberg - Trussardi | Summer 2010

Fendi
Fendi has surprised me a lot this time. Karl Lagerfeld chose very sober colors like white and beige, and it worked perfectly, the dresses look very light and sexy. Last but not least, the shoes are also magnificent. These ones below are my favourite ones, a real must-have for Summer 2010. Bravo!

Iceberg
What happened on Iceberg's atelier? This is the most fun collection it will be at Milan Fashion Week for Summer 2010 season. Iceberg got inspired by the iconic Mickey Mouse and I love the very sexy leather jackets and skirts, it is so Rock and Roll.

Trussardi 1911
Trussardi 1911 very glamorous as usual at Milan Fashion Week, but I expected much more. White and yellow are the main colors for the Summer 2010 season. I love these jeans, it is so Rock and Roll, as well as the white dress.

Milan Fashion Week: Gucci - Emilio Pucci - Emporio Armani | Summer 2010

Gucci
Gucci surprised me a lot at this Milan Fashion Week. Not that it did not on other seasons, but I think that this time Frida Giannini took the risk and did a lot of innovating looks for the Summer 2010 season.
The first avant-garde look is the first white dress, wore by the gorgeous Natasha Poly; both gray and black leather jackets caught my attention too, I find it chic and modernist; the dresses with prints are beautiful too, it is very artistic and very italian style. Congratulations Frida, you did it.

Emilio Pucci
Emilio Pucci is one of my favorite italian brands ever. Its prints and the lines are allways so elegant and original. Look to the first look, that jacket just rocks! It looks like snake. More, one of the things I like the most are the sexy blue prints and the beautiful white dresses. Emilio Pucci ti amo!

Emporio Armani
Emporio Armani's Summer 2010 is nothing Wow, however I think it has innovated somehow. The looks I love the most are the first one, because of the shorts and the two blue jackets, it is so different and girly. Last but not least, I find all the other looks very good for a young lady who works at the office. It is a very sober style, but not boring. Actually, very stylish.

The new Versace man, Paul Sculfor

Paul Sculfor is the new Versace man for this season. Paul and The Divine Miss V Donatella Versace have made a photoshoot together on an interview for Out Magazine (press here) in which Donatella talks about the "new" Versace that has been coming out and some confidences of herself.
However, what it really took my breathe away, it was the photos of Paul Sculfor. He is so sexy and very confident, a real Versace man. I love all the pictures, mainly both second and the last one.
Last but not least, check out the Official Versace's page on facebook and the new Versace.com website. Bravo Versace!

Dolce & Gabbana - Oscar Wilde inspiration

Oscar Wilde, as a symbol of dandy-esque decadence, eternal representation of willingly eccentric elegance, melts with the severity of military inspiration in both D&G and Dolce & Gabbana Men's Winter 2009/10 collection.
Below there are the most beautiful, original and luxurious array of clothes for an aristocratic and dandy style that recalls the British sartorial tradition. Plus, you can shop right from Maison Chaplin!
