Gagosian Gallery opens in Paris

Located just off the Champs Elysées, the new gallery was jointly designed by architects Jean-Francois Bodin and Caruso St. John (the architect behind the Rome and London galleries). Two of the four extensive floors are dedicated to public exhibitions.

The gallery opened on 20 October with a collection of new paintings by Cy Twombly, alongside an intriguing exhibition of Jean Prouvé's prefabricated architectural works.

Curating the show is design dealer Patrick Seguin who recently commissioned Jean Nouvel to adapt and rehabilitate Prouvé's seminal Ferembal House.

On the gallery's second floor is a show on Jean Prouvés heroic role in developing mass produced modular systems in the late 1940s. This includes images of the French master's seminal 1948 Ferembal house in Nancy, which was recently adapted by Jean Nouvel, as commissioned by Galerie Patrick Seguin

Situé juste à côté des Champs Elysées, la nouvelle galerie a été conçu conjointement par les architectes Jean-François Bodin et Caruso St. John (l'architecte de la Rome et galeries de Londres). Deux des quatre étages importants sont consacrés à des expositions publiques.
La galerie a été inaugurée le 20 Octobre avec une collection de nouveaux tableaux de Cy Twombly, à côté d'une exposition fascinante de Jean Prouvé préfabriqués œuvres architecturales.
L'organisation de l'exposition est signé par Patrick Seguin qui a récemment commandé Jean Nouvel à s'adapter et à réhabiliter Prouvé séminales Ferembal Chambre.
