Depuis plus 20 ans, présidé par Pierre Bergé, dirigé par Nathalie Dufour et grâce au soutien du Ministére de la Culture et de la Communication et du DEFL, l'ANDAM a su repérer les talents incontournables de la mode contemporaine contribuant ainsi à la vitalité et au rayennement international de la scène parisienne.

Cette année, l'ANDAM FASHION AWARDS atteint une donation globale de 200.000€ grâce au soutien fidèle de ses partenaires, l'Oréal Professionnel, la Fondation Pierre Bergé Yves Saint Laurent, LVMH, Gucci Group, Longchamp, Les Galeries Lafayette, Saks Fifth Avenue (Moyen-Orient), Only The Brave (représanté par Renzo Rosso) et Hudson's Bay Company.

Présidé par Carine Roitfeld, le jury 2010 réunit soul la direction de Nathalie Dufour, Alber Elbaz, Hilary Alexander, Jean-Pierre Simon, Sarah Lerfel, Paul Benyamine, Jefferson Hack, Virginie Mouzat, Pamela Golbin, Gene Krell, Humberto Leon et Jean-Jacques Picart.

Suite à la réception de l'ensemble des dossiers de candidature, ce jury d'experts a sélectionné les 6 finalistes de l'édition 2010 sur labase de leur parcours créatif et leur potentiel de développement.

Les dossiers des 6 nominés seront présentés durant la commission nationale qui se tiendra fin juiin prochain. Après consultation des dossiers de candidature, le/les lauréats sera/ont élu(s) par le jury à la majorité simple.

The fabulous Italian designer Mr. Alessandro Dell'Acqua is back to fashion with a new label called Nº21, which is Alessandro Dell'Acqua's birthday and also his lucky number, he says. Model Bianca Balti is the star in this video by Alessandro Dell'Acqua to promote Nº21.

Helmut Newton - Did you know...

Helmut Newton was born 1920 as a son of a wealthy Jewish button manufacturer family in Berlin under the name Helmut Neustädter. Until it visited 1936 the High School, which it broke off however, after it already at this time more swimming, which girl and photographing were added. It began teachings in the same year with that at that time admitted citizen of Berlin photographer Yva as a photographer. It had to close 1938 their studio because of professional ban and ranked later among the victims of the national socialism.

Two years later it broke the teachings off, over shortly after its 18. Birthday to leave on 5 December 1938, Germany toward Singapore. There he worked two weeks long as a Bildreporter at the Straits Times, before he became to dismiss because of inability. Starting from 1940 he spent the war years in Australia, where he worked first as a truck driver at the army and at the building of railways. It opened a photo studio in Melbourne to 1945. One year later it accepted the Australian nationality. In 1948 he married the actress June Browne with which he lived up to its death together. It was since the 1970's themselves as a photographer under the alias Alice jumps actively.

Starting from 1956, Helmut Newton worked for the Australian expenditure of Vogue, which became his chief. Gradually it came also French, Italian, American and the German Vogue's, as well as other fashion magazines. Since the 1970's Newton was the most in demand and most expensive in fashion photography business, advertising, Portrait and a photographer of the world. In 1976 it came out his first book of White Women pictures. Since 1981 Helmut Newton lived in Monaco with his wife Mrs. June Newton - the pair in Los Angeles spent the winter months.

Newton died at the age of 83 years at the night of 23 January 2004, after a tragic accident with his Cadillac in Los Angeles in the Cedars Sinai Medical center. His desire was to be buried in its native city of Berlin. On 2 June 2004 he was buried in an honour grave at the IIITH urban cemetery room smoking race in Berlin Friedenau in the proximity of the honour grave by Marlene Dietrich. Among the mourning guests among other things Federal Chancellor was Gerhard Schröder, Berlin governing mayors Klaus Wowereit and the British actor Roger moorlands.

Sónar 2010 - International Festival of Advanced Music & Multimedia Art in Barcelona/Coruña from 17-19 June 2010

Sonar festival 2010 will take place in both Barcelona and A Coruña (Galicia). It's a famous international Festival of Advanced Music and Multimedia Art.

The film is entitled "Finisterre", and includes six chapters and an epilogue. It looks at the introspective journey undertaken by two ghosts who during Sónar 2009 decided to travel along the Way of Saint James to the end of the world. Once they arrive, they begin a fleeting new period on earth.

El festival Sónar 2010 se celebrará en Barcelona y A Coruña (Galicia). Es un famoso Festival Internacional de Música Avanzada y Arte Multimedia de Barcelona.

La película se titula "Finisterre", y incluye seis capítulos y un epílogo. Se ve en el viaje introspectivo a cargo de dos fantasmas que durante Sónar 2009 decidió viajar a lo largo del Camino de Santiago hasta el fin del mundo. Una vez que llegan, comienzan un fugaz periodo nuevo en la tierra.

Louis Vuitton unveils London flagship boutique

Luxury fashion and accessories retailer Louis Vuitton opened its new London flagship this week at the junction of New Bond Street and Clifford Street.

Set over three levels, the store incorporates Louis Vuitton heritage touches such as trunks and leather, as well as modern features including a LED staircase. It features eye-dazzling highlights such as a two-storey wall of trunks - to showcase the LV tradition of working in leather - and a glass and LED staircase.

The ground floor is devoted to Louis Vuitton accessories and will include both original artworks from well-known names including, Richard Prince and Takashi Murakami, and exclusive products specially designed for the store.

The first floor is devoted to womenswear and shoes, in several intimate areas with generous and luxurious changing rooms.

The new London LV maison has been designed by the New York-based architect, Peter Marino, who also worked on the brand’s Champs Elysées maison. Also here is the unique Librairie which will showcase the best of British contemporary Art Books and bespoke commissions by artists including Anish Kapoor, Chris Ofili and Gary Hume.

The store’s second floor is a separate, luxurious world – the private client suite, which can only be accessed by invitation.

Since the first Marc by Marc Jacobs show in New York ten years ago, the industry has closely observed the seasonal casting choices made by the house, using them as an early indicator of which faces would dominate the catwalks of the shows to come in London, Milan and Paris.

To be chosen for the show, the models have to embody the spirit of youthful cool; be of strong character; and have an irreverent attitude. These are Marc's models.
