Art Basel Miami Beach 2010

032c Magazine will participate in Art Basel Miami Beach and Creative Time’s 2010 OCEANFRONT NIGHTS program. With a non-canonical selection of multimedia projects specially created for the series, 032c will showcase Berlin at its most dynamic, emphasizing collaboration in all of its experimental and cross-disciplinary possibilities. The evening’s programming will include a high-energy double-avatar motion tracking performance by duo AIDS-3D (presented with PROGRAM GALLERY), "Concrete Society," a lecture on ideological clash, the destructive and the brutiful by artist ISA MELSHEIMER and architect ARNO BRANDLHUBER, and a Cuban choral intervention by 80*81, an ongoing research project by Georg Diez and Christopher Roth. Music and dancing will be provided by Berlin’s legendary BROKEN HEARTS CLUB.

Fashion Against AIDS in Porto - Support This Fight

Tomorrow there will be a cocktail event at the Arts Palace (Palácio das Artes) here in Oporto, organized by my dear friend Filipa Machado, to support fight against AIDS.

The event is to make people conscious of how big this problem is, and it will happen a fashion show of portuguese designer Elsa Barreto.

The thing is: Do something, no matter where you are in the world.

The Good Life F/W 2010 at SHOWstudio tomorrow

A distinctly British take on the bubbling, bourgeoisie undercurrent of the Fall-Winter 2010 Paris shows, the latest addition to our fashion film editorial series launches this Friday. Starting with the sixteentharrondissement allusions of Loewe, Celine and Yves Saint Laurent and giving them a seventies Surbiton twist, stellar British photographer Alice Hawkins takes inspiration from the suburban society aspirations of Margot Leadbetter - the heroine of classic British sitcom The Good Life - in this exclusive fashion film created for SHOWstudio.com. Filming real-life middle-class women in a selection of Paris' finest fashion, Hawkin's film is an affectionate and tongue-in-cheek portrait of SHOWstudio's quintessentially English class-consciousness, framed by next season's key sartorial statements. An homage to social climbers everywhere.

"These are strong and proud people. This collection is more severe and harsh than the last. I wanted to emphasize masculinity of this race, their brutality, their bellicose nature. Fabrics are mainly what I used natural cotton, lurex, foam, neoprene, mesh and Plexiglas.", Konrad said.
