"It was like girls playing Elvis": this was the description of the Fall/Winter 1994‐1995 collection by Dolce&Gabbana. It could have very well been a chapter of the Dolce&Gabbana Music Book freshly released. This is the first hint for you.

The second? Do you remember Isabella Rossini in leopard last Monday? Well, she’s going to make a come‐back in this article.

Daphne Guinness at Barneys New York

Daphne Guinness used the windows of Barneys New York as a dressing room before the Costume Institute gala held on May 2. Flanked by other vignettes showcasing the fashion collection of her friend Isabella Blow, Daphne paid homage to Alexander McQueen by outfitting herself in one of his creations, a pale-grey duck and ostrich feather gown.

Aperlaï Fall/Winter 2011 stunning collection!

01
For the Fall Winter 2011 collection, Aperlaï explores the universe of geometric essentiality and the power of colour. Art is once again at the root of the inspiration: from the cubism of Picasso to the radical reduction and essential colours of Malevich and I LOVE it!

02
Knight, Lock, Armour, Bucklehead, Angle…some names representing Aperlaï's collection. Traits of patent leather, chromatic contrasts, warm and dark shades. The stitch, when visible, defines the shapes, creating interlocking games and asymmetrical overlaps.

05
Aperlaï subtly grooving the seventies with a contemporary and sharp femmininity.
Clashing the seventies: visions of Edie Sedwick wearing pastels and exotic skins.
Experimenting with colours, shapes and details, both on a strong structure and a cheeky stiletto.

07
In a wide range of textures: suede, python, pony, napa leather, velvet, hairnet; all are finely treated by Italian craftsmen in Florence. The collection of 50 styles goes from asymmetrical sandals to over the knee boots.
