Lanvin Fall 2012 ad campaign captures the elegance of ageless models

Just like a series of intimate portraits, Alber Elbaz and Steven Meisel capture the elegance of these one-time models ages 18 to 81 for the Lanvin Fall-Winter 2012 ad campaign.

The camera reveals little anecdotes told by each character giving us a rare glimpse of personality: we discover a former cabaret dancer who dreams of going to Paris, a mobile phone addict, a woman who collects salt and pepper shakers, a lover of frozen blueberries.


Based on an innovative concept, this campaign celebrates Alber Elbaz’s 10 years designing for Lanvin. By lifting the veil on anonymous personalities, Paris’s oldest fashion house takes couture off the runway and brings it to the street, garments worn by real people be they young or not so young, from different backgrounds, with unique personalities, diverse body types...The multitude of “Happy 10 year Anniversary” bags dotted over each scene is the final reference to this milestone year.
