Diesel and Nicola Formichetti have today unveiled the results of their creative takeover of Galeries Lafayette running from 14th to 24th October, handing one thousand artists the platform of a lifetime.
Submissions on the #Dieselreboot Tumblr were open worldwide, seeking to uncover the most exciting undiscovered digital art talents across the globe. This garnered over a thousand unique entries that will comprise a street-level mosaic on the windows of Paris’s celebrated department store.
In addition to this, five artists were selected by Diesel’s Artistic Director Formichetti to produce custom installations in the most iconic indoor and outdoor locations at Galeries Lafayette.
Their digitally-inspired work, in the classical context of the prestigious French retailer, illustrates the degree to which technology is used as a creative tool and method by the generation that the #dieselreboot program talks to and engages.
